Pithuḍaga is the same as Sanskrit Pṛthudaka and Pithuḍa is but a shortened form of Pithuḍaga. In the Gaṇḍavyūha we find a reference to Pṛthurāṣṭra, which is evidently not different from what Ptolemy in his Geography calls Pitundra which is but the Greek form of Pithuḍa.
