Andhapura is mentioned in the Serivāṇija Jātaka (Jāt., Vol. I, p. 111). It is said that two dealers in pots and pans, who were inhabitants of the kingdom of Seri, came across the river Teḷavāha and entered the city of Andhapura and set about hawking the wares round the streets.
