The Mārkaṇḍeya Purāṇa gives a list of peoples (Vāhyatonarāḥ) who evidently dwelt on the borders of India. Among these mention is made of the Kāmbojas, Daradas, Barbaras, Harṣavardhanas, Cīnas and Tukhāras. Instead of Harṣavardhanas, the Vāyupurāṇa reads Priya-laukikas. But there is no clue whatsoever to the identification of these names.
