*Kauśāmyapura.*—The Ajayagaḍh stone inscription (vs. 1345, E.I., Vol. XXVIII, Pt. III, July, 1949) refers to Kauśāmyapura which seems to be identical with Kauśāmbī or Kosam in the Allahabad district.
