Adraisti Country.—It was situated on the eastern side of the Hydraotes (Rāvī). Pimprāmā was their stronghold. The Adrijas mentioned in the Droṇaparva of the *Mahābhārata* (Ch. 159, 5) are supposed to be identical with the Adraistai of the Greeks. The Adraistai or Adhṛṣṭas are said to have bowed down before Alexander's army (*Cambridge History of India*, I, 371 and n. 2; B. C. Law, *Indological Studies*, I, pp. 21-22).
