Nirmānd.—The Nirmānd Copperplate Inscription of the Mahāsāmanta and Mahārāja Samudrasena mentions Nirmānd, a village near the right bank of the Sutlej, 21 miles north-east of Plach, the chief town of the Plach tehsil of the Kulla or Kulu division of the Kangra district in the Punjab (*C.I.I.*, Vol. III). This village stands close to an ancient temple dedicated to Paraśurāma. There is another temple here dedicated to the god Tripurantaka or Śiva under the name of Mihireśvara.
