In 1912 three copperplates were discovered at the village of Nidhanapura¹ in Pañcakhaṇḍa-pargaṇā in the district of Sylhet. These plates form parts of a grant of land to some Brāhmaṇas by Bhāskaravarman, king of Kāmarūpa, issued from the camp at Karṇasuvarṇa. Subsequently, two more plates were found. The copperplates inscribed under the orders of Vaidyadeva, king of Kāmarūpa, were found in Kamauli near Benaras city (E.I., II, 347ff.). For further details, vide I.H.Q., Vol. VI, No. 1, pp. 60ff.
