Ambasanda—(= Āmrakhaṇḍa).—It was a Brahmin village situated to the east of Rājagṛha to the north of the Vediyaka mountain and the Indasālaguhā (*Dīgha Nikāya*, II, 263). It was so called because there were mango-orchards not far from it (*Sumaṅgalavilāsinī*, III, 697).
