Fan-chan was assassinated by Fan-Chang, who in his turn was also murdered by his general Fan Siun. During his reign two Chinese ambassadors K'ang T'ai and Chu Ying visited Fu-nan and they met there Chen-song, one of the envoys sent by the king of India. Both the Chinese ambassadors wrote books on Fu-nan, and K'ang also recorded a brief account of India as reported by Chen-song.
