According to the Chinese Chronicles Fan-hu-ta was succeeded in A.D. 413 by his son Ti-chen who abdicated the throne and went to India. This king has been identified with king Gaṅgārāja who is mentioned in a Sanskrit inscription as having abdicated the throne in order to spend his last days on the Gaṅgā.
