Since the end of the 20ᵗʰ century, English literary works in India that have won awards, have been translated into Chinese. When *The God of Small Things* (in 1997) by Arundhati Roy won the Man Booker Prize in 1998, its Chinese version was published in the same year. *The Inheritance of Loss* (in 2006) by Kiran Desai won the Man Booker Prize in the same year of its publication, and its Chinese version was published in 2008. Meanwhile, *The White Tiger* (in 2008) by Aravind Adiga won the Man Booker Prize in the same year, and its Chinese version soon came out in 2010. However, because translators are not always Indian experts, and the press has been driven by commercial profits, those translated works have some faults.
