On September 22, 2007, Ustad Sabri Khan, a contemporary master of Sarangi in India, together with his son Kamal Sabri and Tabla drummer Salit Das et al, and six other artistes, performed in the Third Annual Conference of World Folk Music. The concert was an unprecedented grand occasion. The beautiful timbre of Sarangi resembling the human voice and the performer’s excellent skill, luxuriant musical adornment phrases and impromptu performance surprised all.
