The foregoing discussion so far has tended to prove by various internal evidences to throw light on the probable date of the *Sabhāparva*. The geographical positions of the Ṛṣikas, Śakas, Tukhāras, Kaṅkas, Hūṇas, Cīnas, etc., have been discussed already. The light which is thrown by the allusions to Antakhī and Romā (which show connection with the Greek and the Roman world) on the probable date of the *Sabhāparva* has been further increased by the mention of Madhyamikā. Weighing all the evidences it may be said that the events referred to in the *Sabhāparva* range between 184 B.C. to 148 B.C., *i.e.*, the period of Puṣyamitra Śuṅga.
