Vinayacandra’s Kāvyaśikṣā, e.g., mentions Surāṣṭra 9 thousands, Lāṭa-deśa 21 thousands, Gurjaradeśa 70 thousands, Pārata 70 thousands, Ḍāhala 9 lakhs, Mālava 9 lakhs and 92, Kānyakubja 46 lakhs, etc.⁴
