⁴⁴ It is called Kubhā in some Purāṇas (Raychaudhuri, op. cit., p. 69). The two names remind us of the Kurram and the Kabul. But Mt. Gomeda likewise reminds us of Ptolemy's Komedai located in Central Asia. See below.
