Kaliṅga—lived in the coastal areas of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh having their capital originally at Tosalī (modern Dhauli near Bhubaneswar, Orissa) and later at Kaliṅganagara (near Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh). It may be noted that Kaliṅga is located here in the Southern Division and not in the Eastern zone as in the Kāvyamīmāṃsā (see below).
