7. Hūṇa—probably the same as Hāra-hūṇaka mentioned in the list of peoples of the Northern Division.
8. Dārva—also mentioned in the list of peoples of the Northern Division.
9. Huhuka—a Himalayan people living on the eastern river Nalinī according to another section of the Purāṇas.
10. Trigarta—lived in the modern Jalandhar region of the Eastern Punjab.
11. Mālava—probably the Malloi of the Greeks, who lived in the Montgomery region of West Pakistan.
12. Kirāta—also mentioned in the list of peoples of the Northern Division.
13. Tamara—probably a mistake for Tomara, mentioned in the list of peoples of the Northern Division as also in that of the peoples living on the eastern river Nalinī in another section of the Purāṇas.⁹
