¹⁰ This is often supposed to be the same as Triliṅga (Telengana) or Trikaliṅga, neither of which is however found in the records of the early centuries of the Christian era or as the capital of a country. Of course the location of the place beyond the Ganges is of little importance since Mt. Mahendra or Mandara and Tosali appear to be similarty misplaced. Trikaliṅga is sometimes called Kaliṅgatraya in medieval records (QJBISM, Vol. xii, No. 3, p. 41, verse 4).
