v2.c17.s1.73

The most recent discovery in the Sakya country is that of the Piprāwa Stūpa an account of which was given to the Royal Asiatic Society by the Secretary on the 10th August 1900. This stūpa enclosed certain vases which contained bone-relics and various other articles. On one of the urns is a short inscription which, in Dr. Bühler’s translation,¹ is— "This relic-shrine of divine Buddha is (the donation) of the Sakya Sukiti brothers associated with their sisters, sons and wives."
