v2.c26.s2.19

From Thānēsar Yuan-chwang travelled more than 400 *li* N. E. to Su-lu-k‘in-na or Srughna. The position of this country is fixed unmistakably by the specification that it was bounded on the north by high mountains, and on the east by the Ganges, while the Jumna flowed through the midst of it. It must have corresponded to the Dehra District, and the north-eastern portion of the Ambāla District, with probably a part of the Sahāranpur District, and some of the Hill States abutting on Dehra.
