Notwithstanding Mr. Watters' criticisms (p. 254), I am still inclined to believe that Mou-san-pu-lu was intended to be a transcription of Mūlasthānapura, the modern Mūltān, although inaccurately written. Po-fa-to (p. 255) seems to indicate the region of Jamū (Jummoo), in the south of the Kaśmīr State as present constituted.
