In the cases of the other words in -a, -ā named above, and also of evá, it appears sufficient to note the instances of hiatus in the general lists, combination being on the whole more common. Hiatus is sometimes denoted in the Saṃhitā text by the sign ṁ, as saváyaṁ i 113 1c, śásadānāṁ i 123 10a, eváṁ v 6 10a.
