On the other hand the long quantity given in the text is quite admissible in *ásāte* v 68 4b (7G) 5c (7G); *ásāthe* v 62 5d (3T), and is required by the metre in numerous other passages, as *iyāte* vii 39 2b (10), *dadhāte* i 185 2b (10), and *vasāthe* i 152 1a (10).
