190. Quantitative variations in normal dimeter cadence are increasingly rare in proportion as they deviate from the standard form. Hence the most common variations are (i) the long fifth syllable - - ◡, and (ii) the short sixth syllable ◡ ◡ ◡. The long seventh syllable is, however, a rare variation.
