In the Bhārgavī strophes there are 14 verses out of 30 which do not conform to either of the Bhārgavī types (§ 52): of these verses 5 have eleven syllables and 9 have twelve, but all agree in shewing Jagatī cadence. There can therefore be no doubt that we have to deal with a variation of Jagatī verse, though the Anukramaṇī by means of counting the syllables discovers most of them to be Triṣṭubh.
