244. The more difficult hymns of this class are i 88, i 120 1–9, and x 105. But although it may not be possible to determine the original form of each stanza in these hymns, we can feel confident that the general type in the mind of the composer was for i 88 11.11.7.11; for i 120 11.11.7; and for x 105 11.7.11. In these hymns therefore the Triṣṭubh or trochaic cadence is generally found in both the trimeter and the dimeter verses.
