(iv) In viii 35-37 the metres appear to be allied. viii 35 (12.12.12.8) does not indeed come within our definition in subsection i, and has points of contact with the uneven lyric metres: but viii 36 1-6 is of the type 12.12 | 8.8.8.8, and the concluding stanza only differs in having one dimeter verse less.
