v3.c18.64

It is probably owing to the absence of any derivative of the verbal noun in *ana* that the grammar-writers have failed to understand the true origin of this form, and have supposed it to be composed of the verbal stem and a suffix *nâr* or *nâro*, so that *chhoḍanâro* is by them divided *chhoḍa-nâro*, instead of *chhoḍan(a)-(h)âro*.
