¹ The name of the personal terminations of verbs is vibhakti (Kacc. vi., 1). The Kātantra does not use this word in a sūtra, but the commentators assume it. The Tolkāppiyam, on the other hand, prohibits vēṟṟumai (vibhakti) to verbs (ii., 6, 1), and restricts this term solely to nouns, because the personal terminations to the verbs are at once recognized as pronouns.
