² We find both these forms of the name in two inscriptions, see JASB xliii p. 108 and Bhavanagar inscription 114 = Prācīna-lekha-mālā ii 28. In Harṣakīrti's Dhātupāṭha this king is referred to as Allāvadi (Bhandarkar Rep. 1882-83, p. 43).
