v1.c47.35
for the author represents the river Ganges as flowing through his country, which is true of Videha and not of Vidarbha. Cf Weber ii no. 1726. The title *miśra*, often appended to Bhānudatta's name, may indicate that he was a Maithilī Brāhmaṇa, and that he was probably *not* a *vaidya*.
