v1.c55.s2.5
The author was the Jaina priest of Cāmuṇḍarāya, minister of the Gaṅga king Rācamalla, and flourished in the latter part of the 10th century. He was the teacher of Nāgavarman, a Kanarese poet, who lived under the protection of Rakkasa Gaṅga, younger brother of Rācamalla. Ajita also wrote *Cintāmaṇi-prakāśikā* on Yakṣavarman’s *Cintāmaṇi*, which is itself a commentary on Śakaṭāyana’s *Śabdānuśāsana*. See Rice p. 308.
