Abhinavagupta very significantly takes 58 *anuprāsa* as implied in the *yamaka* by Bharata; and the very fact that the *anuprāsa* in Bhāmaha in thus clearly differentiated from *yamaka* may indicate further refinement in the analysis of these figures and betoken a somewhat later stage.
