³³ e. g., Rudraṭa's *bhāva*, *mata*, *sāmya* and *pihita* are not defined by later writers (excepting Vāgbhaṭa in his *Kāvyānuśāsana*), while his *hetu* is not admitted by Mammaṭa. Rudraṭa's *avasara* and *pūrva* (mentioned by the younger Vāgbhaṭa) appear to be the same as the second variety of Mammaṭa's (and Udbhaṭa's) *udātta* and the fourth variety of Mammaṭa's *atiśayokti* respectively.
