P. 230. It is curious that Nārāyaṇa, who describes himself as a descendant of our Kumārasvāmin, gives the genealogy of his ancestor thus in his commentary on *Campū-rāmāyaṇa* (Madras *Catalogue*, xxi, Kāvya, p. 8212) : Mallinātha→Kapardin→{Mallinātha Peddubhaṭṭa→Kumārasvāmin. He speaks of Peddubhaṭṭa as a mahāmahōpādhyāya, a commentator on the *Naiṣadha* and as having been bathed in gold by Sarvajña (*Śiṅgabhūpāla* ?).
