¹ See Dr. West’s note on Bundahish XX, 13. The original passage mentions the Dâtîk river coming out from Aîrân vêj; but Dr. West observes that this may not be a river though the phrase (in the Avesta) has, no doubt, led to locating the river Dâtîk in Aîrân-vêj.
