P. 65, 28. The forty-eighth Atharva-pariśishṭa, see *I. St.*, iv. 432, gives indeed the same beginning, but a different concluding verse to the Sáma-Saṃhitá, namely, the last verse but one of the *first* part of the vulgate; accordingly, it did not reckon the second part as belonging to the Saṃhitá at all, while for the first part also it presents the discrepancy stated.
