¹ The Kauṣītaki-Brāhmaṇa is edited by B. *Lindner*, Jena, 1887, also in ĀnSS No. 65, translated into English by A. B. *Keith*, HOS, vol. 25, 1920; chapter X translated into German by R. *Löbbecke*, Ueber das Verhältnis von Brāhmaṇas und Śrautasūtren, Leipzig, 1908. Āpastamba mentions the Kauṣītakins, but his quotations from a "Bahvṛca-Brāhmaṇa," that is "a Brāhmaṇa of the Ṛgvedins" do not occur either in the Aitareya or in the Kauṣītaki-Brāhmaṇa; they must therefore refer to another Ṛgveda-Brāhmaṇa which has not come down to us (Keith, l. c., p. 48). For critical and exegetical notes on Ait. Br. and Kauṣ. Br. see W. *Caland*, ZDMG 72, 1918, 23 ff.
