⁴ Edited by H. F. *Eelsingh*, Leyden, 1908, and the first Prapāṭhaka by Kurt *Klemm*, with extracts from Sāyaṇa's commentary, and a German translation (Gütersloh 1894). *Liebich* (Indogermanische Forschungen, Anzeiger, 1895, pp. 30 f.) has shown that the language of the Ṣaḍviṃśa is pre-pāṇinean.
