¹ In the Tibetan version the Catuḥ-Śataka is called *Varṇanārhavarṇana*, "The Praise of Him Who Deserves Praise." The title is also found in Central Asian fragments in colophons (s. Hoernle, l.c., pp. 76, 81, 83). F. W. Thomas has translated the first half of the poem from Tibetan (Ind. Ant., 24, 1905, 145 ff.). A list of the works which are ascribed to Mātṛceṭa in Tibetan, is given by *Thomas* in Kavīndravacana-Samuccaya, p. 27, and Ind. Ant., 32, 346 f.
