*asāvudayamārūḍhaḥ kāntimān raktamaṇḍalaḥ* ।
*rājā harati lokasya hṛdayaṁ mṛdubhiḥ karaiḥ* ॥
“*This king* (*moon*), *who has attained the peak of prosperity* (*has risen*), *who is beautiful* (*lovely*), *who has made people loyal* (*red orb*), *enchants the heart of his dependants* (*the people*) *with his mild taxes* (*rays*)².
