⁷ According to Jacobi, ZDMG 56, 763 A, he lived under Avantivarman (855 - 833). This Rudraṭa, with the epithet Śatānanda, son of Vāmuka, should not be confused with Rudrabhaṭṭa, the author of Śṛṅgāratilaka. Pischel (ZDMG 39, 314; 42, 296ff.) regards both of them as identical.
