*ajjaṁ pi tāva ekkaṁ mā māṁ vārehi piasahi ruantiṁ* ।
*kalliṁ uṇa tammi gae jaï ṇa muā tā ṇa rodissaṁ* ॥
“O dear friend, only till today, only upto this day, do not prevent me from weeping. In case I do not die when it is morning and he is away I shall weep no more¹.” (Trans. according to Wilbrandt.)
