⁴ अवमत्य तु याः पूर्वं पतिं दुष्टेन चेतसा । वर्तन्ते याश्च सततं भर्तॄणां प्रतिकूलतः ॥ तेहाद्मरणं काले याः कुर्वन्ति तथाविधाः । कामात्क्रोधाद्भयान्मोहात्सर्वाः पूता भवन्ति ह ॥ Mādhava attributes these verses to the Mahābhārata at Parāśara, IV, 33; they, however, do not occur in the epic.
