⁴ “कन्या तु प्रथमसमागमे स्विन्नाङ्गुलिः स्विन्नमुखी च भवति । पुरुषस्तु रोमाञ्चितो भवति ; एभिरनयोर्भावं परीक्षते ।” This passage, quoted by Mallinātha is slightly different from the reading in the printed editions of the Kāmasūtra where we have स्विन्नकरचरणाङ्गुलिः स्विन्नमुखी च भवति, Benares edition, p. 266.
