⁶ कत्रादिभ्यो वकम्। Pāṇini, iv. 2, 95. Prof. D.R. Bhandarkar who first drew attention to this *sūtra*, says in the *Indian Antiquary*, 1911, p. 34, footnote 45, "Nagara as the name of a town, was known to the author of Kāśikā." He considers *Nagarkot* or *Kāngṛā* as the Nagara from which the Nāgar Brāhmaṇas derived their name.
