Proceeding a little further the Vita meets Saranigupta, an old courtesan. She was arranging the strands of her white hair and wearing freshly washed clothes. She was pulling back the *uttariya* slipping off her shoulders. Circumambulating the Makarayashti (column) at Kama's temple, the Vita exchanges a few words with her.
