We have taken into our consideration the tax on houses in certain cities and towns in the provinces of Bengal, Behar, Orissa and Benares (Disturbances in Benares occasioned by the introduction of the house tax into that city. Regulation XV 1810) levied by you in virtue of a Regulation passed on 6th October 1810, together with the whole of your communication on the subject to the 11th February 1811.
