To turn our attention to the Kauṣitakī Brāhmaṇa in the Abhyudita sacrifice, the dakṣiṇā (fee) is a bow with three arrows. It is said that a bow is unfailing in giving a safe and sound journey.⁷ Thus the principal weapons that figure in this class of literature are bows and arrows.
