If it were not for the middle letter kāf ک, I would have suggested that this word was a misreading for chamkhākh چمخاخ, a battle axe (Steingass, 389), see ante, under iii, Battle Axes. The figure in the Āīn shows a dagger and not an axe. — Could it be intended for Chāqchāq, a kind of knife?
